If you enable Accessibility Mode as described at
http://www.jsonar.org/drupal/node/20, Sonar becomes very usable with
Window-Eyes. There's also a script on SC called HotSpot which could be
used to make the harder-to-use Sonar plugins, such as BeatScape, SFZ,
the matrix controls in Dimension, and Rapture, accessible. I had some
help getting the controls for SFZ working at one point, so I'm confident
these other tools can work once someone with a working set of eyes sets
up the spots to click.

Steve

Hi, some audio people have been intimating at me for months that there
is a way to get full accessibility for sonar 8 in window-eyes, but
every time I press for details I get roadblocked.
One in particular is a logic sound professional and has been a
reliable source for mac related info, but never has delivered on the
windows or window-eyes side.

Just to second Christian's request. We most definitely DO need more
access to
multi-track and MIDI software.
Many blind people are itching to be on more level terms with software
and
hardware for that matter, but GW scripters can tackle the first one,
and the
sooner the better.

Hi all,
Yes, I know that this has been brought up on this list some time ago,
but I am
just wondering if GW is looking into supporting music software?
I have just started to work with Sonar 8 and due to the lack of
accessibility
I have to use that other screen reader just for that purpose. This is
really
sad and the basic accessibility that is currently available with WE
is not
enough. For example, the bus view is not accessible.
Now that the scripting support is available in WE 7.01 I really hope
that this
is being looked into.
I am sure that there are others out there who are also waiting for this
software to be accessible with Window-Eyes.
Best regards,
Christian
