I think it will be worth the wait - but the wait should not be this long. Announce very shortly before release in my view: remember that the beta cycle has to occur, and actually - I think that public beta testing a couple of times before commercial release is a damn good public relations exercise.

Now the words are"We're in the final stretches of the Window-Eyes 7.1 development cycle" which means hopefully something less than another six months. We can all hope that the release has been worth the wait and that after its release GW will then work full time on WE 8.0 to fix the browse mode problems. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sam bushman" <[email protected]> To: "Nigel Richards" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 08, 2009 11:41 AM Subject: Re: A Different Question about WE 7.1 Release > Great question: > How about this one: > > What if it's not ready in time for the conventions? > do they roll it out any ways or just show the pre-release or just say it's > not ready and show 7.01? > Sam > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Nigel Richards" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, June 08, 2009 10:31 AM > Subject: A Different Question about WE 7.1 Release > > >> GW Micro is fond of saying that 7.1 will be ready when it's ready and >> not a moment sooner.
