Hello. To change the name of the account and the name of the registered person in any Windows system, read the following Microsoft KB article.

KB310441

To install the newer Window-Eyes, perform an emergency removal, then install fresh as it sounds like things have been torked up pretty bad based on what you describe.

Many thanks.

I need to change the name of the person who bought the Ultra SmallTalk
to mine. Since Gw-Micro use to sponsor the Ultra SmallTalk, it may not
be out of line to ask here how to do that? Changing the registry, and
then renaming the main \documents and files \ (username) directory? and
what else? I need help with ;this even before I install Window-Eyes, (my
copy of course) onto it, since it had Window-Eyes 6.1 when I got it,
which I did uninstall. BTW, when I attempted to update that version of
Window-Eyes 6.1 to my version of 7.1, no dice, "cannot update the
current version of Window-Eyes," was the report. I just thought I'd try,
so there is a serial number generated or held, which makes sense since
in no way should that be possible with a downloaded file without having
the correct similarity to the window eyes on disk as far as the person's
name is concerned. :)

Anyway, help, please!
