Sounds like your Email software, is set to send emails as plain text. Go to the Tools | Options menu, and check if this is the case.

Out of curousity, what happens if you simply forward the message to yourself, do the links get lost as well?

Subject: Links Disappear When Copying and Pasting

Dear List:
Using Outlook Express, I am trying to forward an email containing several links to someone else. But when I practice sending it to myself, the words of the links are there, but they are no longer a link. What did I do that was not correct? First, I selected the email with control-A and copied it to the clipboard with control-C. Then, I brought up the edit boxes for a new email to send to with the control-N. After pasting the message that I put to the clipboard ( Control-V), I deleted the garbage from the message and sent it. But, as I said, the links are now merely words. Window-Eyes does not say link before reading these words as it did in the original message. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards: Ted Larson
