have you tried changeing i e 8 to compatibility mode? its in the
tools\compatability pull down.
you can set compatability mode for a list of web sites or for all web
pages in there. then it is suppose to work like ie 7.

I took several peoples' advice and downloaded Firefox. It worked great
with
the Tower site; the edit boxes worked perfectly. Windoweyes and IE-8 are
definitely BROKEN -- more like shattered, hosed, etc.
