I've tried all those things.

What are those things one can turn off to make IE 8 run smoother? Please?

Thanks.

Subject: Re: configuring ie8

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know the same thing.

I'm not loving IE8 very much, except it doesn't crash as much as IE7. I have had it crash a few times, however.

And, there is a problem with IE8 and Window-Eyes 7.01. Many times I open a link from within Eudora, and it will say "Internet Explorer." If I arrow up and down, Window-Eyes doesn't say anything, no matter what I do. Now let me tell all of you that I had to put Eudora in the Microsoft Viewer in order for it to open any links in IE8 within an email. Even then, it doesn't always work.

The Window-Eyes issue is this. Window-Eyes doesn't always read anything when IE8 opens from within a link accessed from within Eudora. I can take Brouse mode off, and nothing happends. Even when I put it back on, it says "brouse mode not available."

Also some times, another window will open and it will give me some choices, but I haven't a clue what to do with these choices.

I usually have to open IE8 from within Eudora pressing enter on a link, several times before it works.

I would really appreciate some assistance with this IE8 thing, please. <smile>

Thanks.

How do you get into the compatibility view. I don't think it's under the tools/internet options tab. That might make window-eyes speak as well as ie 7 did.
