Personally, I have a Laptop with 2gb, and a Desktop with 4GB. Both running XP
PRO, and no plans to convert to Vista at the moment.

I can't tell any difference in the memory amount, and functionality of WE,
between the two pcs. Then again, Software packages nowaday, enjoy overflowing
your RAM. You might not experience the biggest difference, but the more memory,
the less swapping (temporary storing) on the hard disk. That in turn, will mean
less time spend in HEAVY LOADED tasks, and less wearing on your harddisk.

At the end of it, upgrading from 2gb to 4gb, will be a matter of personal
choice. At least, at the moment. But a couple of years ago, we told you, 1GB
would be MORE THAN ENOUGH. That was in the other days... :)

RAM, these days, is rather cheap, and you never do anything wrong by upgrading.
Necessary? NO! Nice to have for a rainy day? Well, OK, Yes; if you want.

  Thanks Thomas for your reply.
  I am planning on using windows xp pro until Microsoft stops supporting it;
so if I add 2 more gigs of ram and am just running 32 bit system, am I going
to notice any difference how things work between 2 and 4 gigs?
