Steve,

While I'm sure you will get some astute responses from other gw-info list members regarding your Braille Sense queries, you may be interested in joining our gw-notetaker email list, where you can interact with other Braille Sense owners. They tend to be up on the nuances that technical gadgets are known for.

I'm enjoying using the Braille-sense's database but have been unable to
find how to sort on the primary key. I now have only 25 records, so
scrolling up and down the list is still practicable, though inefficient.
There will, however, come a time when the number of records making
scrolling through all titles just to find one will be really
time-consuming.

Sense a particular field is designated as the primary key, is there a
way to sort on this key so that the records are presented in
alphabetical order?

When I first wanted to browse the records I had entered, I looked in the
manual and help files but found no explanation of how to do this. By
experiment I found that if I went to the search function and simply hit
enter for the title, the database would display all entered records. But
it displays them in the order they were entered. This is handy if you
want to know the first or second record you entered, or if you want to
know the order in which records were entered, or if you want to know the
last record you entered. But it's not handy at all for finding a
particular record quickly when you don't know whether it was entered
early or late in the database's construction.

Have I missed something, or is the ability to sort on the primary key a
feature which needs to be requested? If so, GW, please consider this
such a request. [smile]
