hello, I use aim. The version I find to be the best is 5.9. There are 2 "custom controls" that are actually like list boxes. When a window opens to chat with someone, it automatically goes into the message box where you type and press enter. The other is reached with shift-tab or tab around until you come to a custom control. The second will allow you to arrow up and down through the messages. When I am using the chat window, I use the mouse pointer keys(numeric keypad arrows) to read incomming messages. Otherwise, I don't use any of the other controls in the window. Hope this helps.
