Hi Sandra:
It sounds like it is from the Outlook Calendar.  I think you have to
accept it or reject it.
We use Outlook in our office and in order to accept or reject an
appointment, I do the following:
1. Press Enter on the appointment.
2. Press the alt key, which gets you to the menu bar.
3. Press Control-Tavb, which gets you to the first menubar.
3. You press Enter to accept it or Tab to the Reject button and press Enter.
4. You will get a message like, "this message has been accepted and
will be moved to your calendar" or "this message has been rejected and
will be moved to your Deleted Items Folder" to which you respond by
pressing Enter.

That's all there is to it.
