These are folder descriptions given as tool tips and since Window-Eyes reads tool tips by default, you get this behavior. So turning off the folder descriptions will solve this. Go into the control panel and folder options. Then go to view and it's the last option in the long list of folder behavior.

Many thanks.

Hello GW Micro and staff

I am using Windows XP3 and Window-Eyes version 7. When at the desktop
and moving from icon to icon, Window-Eyes tellls me what the icon is but
it also gives a description. How does one stop Window-Eyes describing?

Yours Sincerely

Edmund Dunlop
