Have a look at the Amber ABC PDF Converter. It is priced under $20, and has
several features. It is pretty quick, and quite accessible (you might have
to use the mouse buttons, a few times). From the website, I only quote a
couple of lines:
Using this tool you will convert your PDF files: PDF to RTF, PDF to DOC, PDF
to TXT,
PDF to HTML, PDF to CHM, PDF to HLP, PDF to DBF, PDF to XML, PDF to CSV, PDF
to XLS,
PDF to MDB, PDF to DB, etc.
To import PDF document, click "Open" button and choose pdf file. To export
it (to
convert it), select file format and click "Save As" button.
You can export all pages or just selected page.

Subject: Best program for converting PDF files
Hi,
I am in college and getting multiple PDF textbooks. I am converting them
to .rtf files with Kurzweil 1000, but this is slow. I am looking for a
program that can do quality pdf to .rtf or .doc files that is quicker than
the K1000 and is accessible. I do not mind paying something for it. I
would also prefer it to be able to OCR image-based pdfs but that is not
necessary.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Karl
