Heidi, Try this.
When in the contacts list, hit CTRL-SHFT-TAB This should put you in a search edit box. Type the first few letters. Hit CTRL-TAB If all went well you will be back in the contacts list but only see those contacts that match the search string you typed. This works for me when in the phone list view. Not as fast as 2003, but better than arrowing through a big list. IN office 03, I could navigate the contacts by using the first letter of the alphabet and arrowing. I used my contacts in business card view and it worked fine for me. If I wanted a phone number I would open the contact as the method above got me to the correct card, and use the tab keys to get through the contact information. This is not working in 07 and with the number of contacts I have, it is quite annoying. I do not have a choice but to use 07. So if anyone has a solution for this, please let me know.
