Robert
Well there you go! I did not know that one, so the old saying is true. I learn something new everyday. Thanks Rick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Donald" <[email protected]>

Rick,

She could also press Alt-= (Equals) followed by enter to insert the Sum function.
This should be done in the first blank cell beneath the column of figures.

All the best,
Robert.

Then the formula I gave you will do the trick. If we were sighted we could highlight the colomb we wanted to add, then go up and click on the icon that represents sum. I find it easier to type in the formula myself. You can
also copy that formula as well. hth Rick

Jennifer what kind of formula are you trying to do? If you are adding a columb you would write it like this =sum(a1:g1) or =sum(a1:a22). Hope
this will help. If not let us know what you are trying to accomplish.
