Casey:
You mentioned a script for installing scripts. I'm old-fashioned and
prefer a little personal control over the situation. So, this is the
"manual" as opposed to the "automatic" approach.
1. Go to Script Central at the GW Micro Website. The link is near the
bottom of he front page of the site.
2. Hit ENTER on the "Browse Scripts" link. Easy to find if you use
insert plus tab, sort the links alphabetically, and hit the letter B.
3. Then, find the search edit box. You can use the letter N followed
by E. Turn browse mode off, type in "kill," and hit ENTER.
4. That should "find" the script. Once it is in focus, download it by
right clicking on it, hitting the Applications key, or hitting shift
plus F-10.
5. Once saved on your hard drive you have it. Now, go to the
Window-Eyes control panel, press Alt plus F, and then the letter M.
Arrow down to add/remove scripts, and hit ENTER.
6. Tab to "Add Script," hit Enter, go to the file you downloaded, Hit
ENTER, and follow the prompts.
That should install the script.
When Window-Eyes goes silent, press control plus alt plus F-4. Count to
10 and then use your start Window-Eyes shortcut, control plus alt plus W
by default.
I have not had to do a hard shut-down once since installing this.
