I have a similar problem. I use Outlook Express with a black screen and
white fonts. This usually happens when I reply to someones email. I have
found that if they 'Select' the entire screen of the email, they are able to
read the email while selected. They recieve the email to their white screen
with white fonts. When selected, the fonts are seen. Conversely, when I
select the email I have written, I get a white background with white fonts.
