Pam,

If you are using Microsoft Word then I have created a script to enter accented characters.

This script could be opened to allow it to be used in any application but Word was the most requested.

As for the control problem...I've not heard of that and don't really know what JAWS would be doing to the control key.

Regards,
Doug

I was writing an e-mail which needed an accented letter, mainly the a. I
decided to open JAWS for a few seconds so I could enter the correct
character using the feature the program has implemented for entering special
characters. After entering the character I closed JAWS but seemed to be
unable to use the control key to stop and start reading the message. I
re-booted, opened Window-Eyes, and the control character worked as usual.

Is it possible that launching JAWS caused this odd behavior?

I must admit I find the ability to enter accented characters to be very
helpful, and wonder if GW-Micro might consider implementing this feature in
a subsequent release. Certainly there are other items which would take
priority but I do like that feature in the other program.
