That's Micro Soft strong arming your system. Bing is M S new search engine, and compatibility mode is listed under the tools menu. Don't know why you saw that on Google. After I installed IE 8, Msn became my home [page which I didn't mind, but what really pissed me off, after upgrading to the latest version of firefox, Micro soft strong armed it's way into firefox by making MSN my home page, and bing the default search engine. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jed Barton" <[email protected]>

I'm having some very strange things happen with IE, and i wonder if anyone
else is also.
What seems to be happening for some reason, seems to be taking for ever to
load web pages.
There seems to be some very strange things with i tab through links while on
the google page.
one of them says compatability view
another one says bing e edit box
anyone ever seen these?
