Be sure, in Word, you have "Final showing mark-up" turned on. If you are just in final, you won't hear the changes necessarily, though WE will tell you when a line contains a change if you have "count" turned on.
on.

The best way to go through a document with known track changes is as follows:
1. Be certain you have, in Word, "Final showing mark-up" turned on.
2. With Insert-V, go to "revisions" and check what you want to hear.
3. Always have "Count" turned on. Author and date generally get in the way. Count lets you know if a line has a change. 3. Use Alt- lft bracket and alt right bracket to jump backwards and forwards from change to change in the document. You can do this with the "next" and "prior" in the revisions tool bar, but it is cumbersome. I wish WE would read changes/revisions the way it handles attributes, but this way works pretty well. The "count" tells you how many changes there are, in a paragraph, I think, the alt and bracket keys take you right to the change. If you read by word or character, you'll be able to tell what was added and deleted. Often, heavily revised documents are hard to follow. To be sure how the document will read, assuming changes are accepted, change the "show" to "final." Then change it back again to see the changes. Most sighted people don't know how to do this. So, be sure you leave the document in "Final showing mark-up" unless you want to get a call from someone complaining that they can't see the track changes.
Hope this helps.
Also note that, if someone hasn't bothered to track changes, you can manually produce a track change document by comparing two documents by using the "Legal Blackline" option.
