Hello listerrs, A strainge thing happened this morning. I am running WE-7.1 on an XP system, and after receiving a message that I needed to reboot in order to complete the update process of AVG-9, upon getting to the log on screen, WE will not speak any more. I press the hot key to start it, even though I have it configured to start automatically at log-on, and I get a ding. When I ask my son or wife what it says on the screen, the message is that WE is already running, but it won't speak until they do something with the mouse. If I go in to Kurzweil with the hot key for that, I get speech from that program, but when exiting, whereas before, We would tell me where I was on the screen, i.e. desk-top Etc., now it simply won't speak at all. I thought about asking my son to un-install WE, but thought I would ask you experts out there first what your guess is on the problem.
