Hello Curtis and All Fellow Listers
After reading the AVG-FREE Message Forum, I have uninstalled AVG-free9.0
making sure that you check the remove user settings choice it gives.
Unfortunately, you then have to reset up your preferred settings after
reinstalling. But, since reinstalling I have not had the phantom Web Browser
pop up yet. The message forum was not sure whether it would reoccur after
another scan though and I have not done a scan to verify this or not.
Regards, Phil

No, not yet, she is initially hoping for a solution to the problem without
changing fire wall or virus clients.

My friend needs this resolved. Any of you have an idea? AVG9, newly
installed, "web browser," keeps stealing focus during writing of messages.
