I know what you mean!  All I've been able to do is hit ESC a couple times,
then see how fast I can do Start, and the letter U.  Of course with all
applications closed, you can also do an Alt plus F4 which will bring up the
Shut Down dialog.

Hi Gang,

I wonder what's happening.  Here lately some of the time when I press 
the start key I get the message "all programs P pulldown."  Sometimes 
it's hard to shut down the computer until I get rid of that.   Wonder 
what causes it to do that and if anybody knows anything to make it 
stop doing that.
