Hi Butch,

As for getting music on an iPod, you need to use iTunes. More correctly,
iTunes is the simplest way, there are work arounds to avoid itunes, but I
would not go there.
The latest version of iTunes version 9.?? Works just fine with WindowEyes as
long as you don't use the app store.
As for wripping, you have 2 options. The simplest is to use iTunes because
the files will then go directly into the iTunes library. I don't do it this
way myself so can not give you the steps off the top of my head.
Secondly you can wrip the CDs using what ever method you like. Then you go
into iTunes and import the folder into the iTunes library. That option is
on the file menu.
As for putting the music on the iPod, if iTunes is set up to synchronize
automatically, then all you have to do is connect the iPod to the computer
and iTunes will start and synchronize files automatically.

This is the short answer to your question. If you have more questions, feel
free to write me off list.

Scott

Subject: i tunes and i pod question

My sister-in-law is coming for Christmas and she wants me to show her how
to rip a cd and put music on her i-pod. Do I have to use i-tunes to do
this and if so, what vesion works best with window-eyes?
I know how to rip cds, I do that all the time, I just am not sure how to
get the music on her i-pod.
