I've been using Exact Audio Copy as my CD ripping software for a very long time now, but a while back I read that dbpoweramp is a much better secure ripper with much better error correction and a lot more flexibility. I checked it out on a friends computer and it did indeed seem to work better, using a damaged CD that would take EAC well over 24 hours to rip through with some definite errors remaining, dbpoweramp finished in less than an hour and the FLAC files produced were pristine. But when I installed it on my PC to use with Window Eyes, I found the interface utterly unuseable. I can hear the names of al of the settings, but they all read in a constant, mixed up mess that makes it sound like a badly formatted PDF file and nothing, whether keyboard or mouse keys navigation can get me to more than a couple of the controls. I was wondering if anyone experienced in creating set files might have played with this application and if they actually got anywhere with it? If not I would like to encourage anyone else who might be interested in using this application to contact the creator and request some moves towards accessibility. I believe this is a single developer application or at least a small group application, so it might be possible to accomplish something if the developer is made aware that there is an issue and interest from blind users. Here is a link to their website:

Chris
