I have not ventured into Facebook yet, but I was able to access the
m.facebook page with no problem. I am using Windows XP and IE 8.

Hi all,
I know the issues with accessing facebook and m.facebook.com in particular
came up a week or so ago but haven't heard much on this since.
I ran into an interesting problem last night. I thought it might have
been an incorrect browser setting, but not so sure now.
I have a machine running vista home premium with all updates and ie8. I
can access all 3 facebook sites:
www.facebook.com
http://m.facebook.com
http://lite.facebook.com
with no problems at all.
However on our other machine also running ie8 but running windows xp with
all updates, we cannot access http://m.facebook.com but the other two
sites work just fine.
When we try to access m.facebook.com we get that dreaded info icon from
ie8 that the page cannot be found.
I've tried all the settings I can think of on the xp machine, but no luck.
I can access m.facebook.com also on my braillesense plus with no problems.
Is anyone successfully accessing that site with xp and ie8? If so, what
did you do to make it work?
