When I first updated my system to Windows 7 and installed WE 7.11 WE was
crashing quite often. This was happening after updating all my drivers
including the Graphics driver for my on board Geforce 6150. After working
with NVIDIA I finally got a graphics driver where WE doesn't crash. However
the Graphics driver still causes an Event ID 243 Desktop Heap Allocation
Failure which is listed in the event viewer as a warning which means to me
that it shouldn't cause any problems. When I get this 243 warning none of
the desktop icons work and no menues can be expanded in the start menu.
At this point I am considering installing a ATI 4550 Graphics card hopeing
that their available Windows 7 Graphics drivers don't cause this desktop
heap problem.
