If nothing else works try this link

It should download the software directly.

  Hi David,

I could not find the direct download link. All the links I tried just took me
to other places, but I couldn't find an actual download link.

  Thanks for your assistance.

Well, you didn't specify which format your audio file is
in. But, in cased, you are talking MP3, there is a nice, free of charge,
software called MP3DirecCut. Just search for it, on the net. I do hold it as
quite accessible. Basically, here is how you operate it.

      1. Open the software.

      2. Press Ctrl-O, and look up/enter your filename

      3. ppress SPACE, to start the playback of the song (or to stop it)

      4. press B to set the Beginning of the cut, and N to set the Ending mark
of the cut.

      5. Press CTRL-E to save the CUT, and give it a specific name.

Use HOME, to go to the beginning of the file; END to go to the very end
of the file; and CTRL in combination with Left-Right-arrow, to fast
forward/rewind through the sound file.

You want it easy, you get it easy... :) Have been using mp3DirectCut for
several years, and several sound editing projects. It even can Normalize the
volume of a file, find and cut long pauses within the file, change between
mono/stereo, etc; all without having to decode/encode the file, with the risk
of loosing sound quality. The quality you put in, is the one you get out.
Wonderful, small software. And, again, free of charge for private users... :)
In case, you don't find it, let me know, and I will scroll my archieves for the
download link.

        hi every one.

I am looking for a free audio program that will allow me to do the
following task and that is window-eyes friendly.

I need it to make audio files shorter. I mean that I need to make songs
shorter to put on my power point. I used to use creator but it would not tell
me how much it would cut. I also used to use sound recorder in windows xp but
now with vista it is so much different. Please let me know if any one knows of
any audio program that will work with window-eyes. thank you very much.
