Mine in vista is the same way, and has always been so.

last night I disabled avg for another reason, and WE autoloaded today.
could be coincidence, but, are you running avg?

Subject: WE auto load with Windows 7

Just began using the WE auto load at startup function on my Windows 7 Home
premium 64 bit machine. No matter which settings I try loading at startup
is very inconsistent as to whether it starts. I don't have a password for
logging on so I auto boot to the desktop. Any tricks to getting it to work
at every boot?
