Hi,
Yes, I have experienced this boot-up problem on a few occasions, too and can confirm that nothing else will launch, eg an alternative screenreader so that the message can be read. I left my PC in this errored state for a couple of days when I knew a pair of eyes was coming round and the error message which is generated points to an area of memory which cannot be read by WE. As it happened three or four times in succession, I've decided to boot up with another screenreader and then launch Window-Eyes once I'm sure everything is settled! For completeness, running WE7.11 on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit with a Brailliant 80 connected via comm 1. On my HP desktop running Win 7 64 bit We will start speak a few words then a error dialog box comes up andspeech is lost and only a reboot resolves the issue. When this happens none of the icons on the desktop will work nor can you expand any of the menues in the start button. The next time after a reboot We will start normally and you get the dialog asking to send a error message to GW. So again this only happens at boot up or restart and only a hard reboot resolves it. I too get the rare loss of speech after WE has been running normally for a period of time but in my case the kill Wineyes script works to fix these issues. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4756 (20100109) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 4756 (20100109) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
