It sounds like you have set files for 2 versions of Microsoft Office installed.
If you are using 2007, get rid of the other office set files. Then If you want to use outlook express, just install the set files for outlook express. Hope this helps. I purchased a copy of MS Office 2007 and also a copy of WE 7.11 . When word was first loaded onto the computer WE worked with it perfectly well. However I decided to try to run outlook express (office 2002) and changed the set files in WE to accomodate this. Outlook didn't work properly so I now use Windows Mail. This is much better but now whenever i open word 2007 WE won't read anything with the cursor whatsoever. If I try to bring up any of the menus in word I still just get silence. The text is visible however when using the mouse. I've tried reinstalling Office 2007 several times and still it won't work. Somehow I have a copy of MS works on the PC and although WE works reasonably well in this I would much rather use Word.
