I use the Vocal-eyes layout.
I do this because it allows you to invoke the vast majority of
commands without moving your hands off the home row.
I never understood the usage by which requires you to move to the
numeric keypad.
An added benefit is that the vocal-eyes layout works very well on a laptop.
