Woops, I missed an all important part. Once you've found the rate setting, and
then select screen, keyboard, or mouse, you now need to press the up and down
arrow keys to make the actual adjustments.

To make changes on the fly, hold down the alt key and the control key. Now
while these are held down, tap the left arrow key repeatedly until you arrive
at "rate".
Now, keep down the alt and control keys, and tap the right arrow key to
adjust the rate for the screen, keyboard, or the mouse. These can all be set
at different rates. If you choose "all", then the rate for all three features
will be adjusted together. However, most people find it easier to simply
adjust separately for the screen voice, keyboard voice and mouse voice.
After making your adjustments, go to the window eyes control panel, with
control-backslash, go to the menu bar by tapping the alt key, then arrow down
to the "save" option, hit enter. Hit enter again to select "set file and all
dictionaries". If you are given questions the first time, answer them. I'm
not sure about that part though.
The quick way is to go to the window eyes control panel, hit alt-f, f, and
enter. That's using the excellerator keys without arrowing through the menus.
Hope this is of some help and if I've made any mistakes, people on the list
shall correct me, I'm sure.
Steve

Hi,
Ok, I am starting to use WE right now, so my question is how do I change
the rate of the voice? This guy is talking to slow for me.
How would I make this change permanent and how would I change it on the fly?
