Price wise they are. If you can find a gps solution that gives you the same
as what access does for the same price I'll give it a look. The fact is that
now access has been discontinued on price alone the blind community has been
put at a serious disadvantage. So again we're forced to endure the ripoff
prices of the competition.

I'm good with access for at least another 2 years or so because whilst they
have discontinued the product and have stopped any additional sales bar any
licences remaining, they are keeping currant access users active until the
technology available can no longer support the programme. So this isn't
going to affect me yet or anybody else who currently owns an access licence.
We will still have our product and because vodafone need the servers for
their own uses we will get the map updates as well. But anybody else who
wants to buy a gps solution is looking at a grand at least unless they are
prepared to help do something about it. A facebook group has been created by
myself and so far it has 59 members. The aim of the group is to come up with
an action plan to try and deal with this problem. Mainly putting a case to
vodafone with regards to the problms caused.

The fb group address is at
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=422661100607 so come and join it.
