hi quite frankly so far I have found access is built in to the program. so far all controls are expozed to msaa. for example the folder list provides name description and state. with the description and the name being the same so for example if you are on inbox the description is inbox the name is also inbox the state is then shown. the rss message list box is also the same control but is a list verces a tree once again you have name description and value. name is the rss feeed that generated the message. the description is the message it self also includeing the name of the rss feed. the value is the status of the message. so the script in these cases are set up to check for description and value. edit boxes use this same control so now the script talks to much because edit boxes are seen and read internally buy window-eyes. so now some code for role checking is needed to figure out when we need this information. also these events trigger more then once so the code needs to be tightened up so we don't get speech more then once on said controls. so as you see access is in fact built in to windows live mail. we just need to get in there get the information expozed and then provide it to the user. so I think the message is quite unfair to microsoft. there using msaa providing the information needed it is up to us now to get the information from the controls and present iit to the user in a useful manor.

Yes, I have been banging my head on Windows Live Mail for two months now thinking that there must be a work around to make it happen. Microsoft should be ashamed about it's inaccessibility. Sence Gates stopped running the company, Accessibility is going down hill in my opinion. still trying to have a Happy new Year anyway, Craig R. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Tinney" <[email protected]>

I would like to see Window-Eyes support Windows Live Mail as it is the usual
email program that most people would download for Windows 7!
