Tried all that and nothing helped. I am running the NVidia Geforce 6150 on board graphics and had noticed some drivers caused the problem less often but not eliminate it. If WE does come up running OK, and on my system it did about 25 percent of the time you could then avoid the problem by never rebooting the computer. Of course you have to reboot sooner or later then it happens again. In many cases when WE failed on my system it may fail on several consecutive boots before it would work fine. Loading at startup or manually after the boot seems to make no difference. I eventually went back to Vista 64 and things work fine. Only Windows 7 64 caused me the problem.

I installed the latest nvidia video drivers and I have the latest intel chipset drivers and the latest realtek sound drivers for win7 64 any more suggestions. _____ From: Don H [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, January 31, 2010 8:44 PM To: 'Corey Knapp' Cc: gwmicro Subject: RE: strange problem installing win-eyes 7.11 and win7 64 I had the same problem and found that for some reason I was getting a event error logged in the event viewer with a Event id of 245 and a description of desktop heap allocation failure. GW told me that it was not a WE problem but it only happens with WE running. I eventually went back to Vista 64 to avoid the problem and hope the next version works better on my machine. _____ From: Corey Knapp [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, January 31, 2010 2:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: strange problem installing win-eyes 7.11 and win7 64 Hi Listers and GW Staff, I successfully installed win-eyes 7.1 and then I installed the update to 7.11 and now when I start win 7 64 bit the items in the desktop such as computer and control panel don't work and I can't go to the taskbar and launch any programs this is on a fresh install of win7 64. I tried uninstalling win-eyes and then rinstalling with the same result and I even turned UAC back on to see if this made a difference. I even turned off scripting and had the same results. I even used the emergency removal utility to see if maybe the install was corrupted. I even created a new user profile with the same results. Any help would be appreciated.
