Presently, I have two netbooks though I will be selling the 1005hap soon.
The only difference between the 1005hap and the 1005PE is a different
processor, a larger hard drive and the latter computer runs Windows 7.
Windows 7 boots up slower and I still haven't found an email client that I
like, but since XP is going to disappear, I will learn to prosper with
windows 7.

The insert key works well on both netbooks.

Hi Bob

Windows 7 Starter is a basic starting Windows operating system from
Microsoft that lets you only have three apps open at once. In your case,
you can only have two other aps running at the same time, since Window Eyes
makes one app already running.

I would strongly recommend the Asus EEE PC 1005HA-PU1X. It comes in either
black or blue from Amazon. This netbook has Windows XP Home, 1 GB of RAM,
160 GB hard drive, and best of all, 10.5 hours of battery life! If I could
get away from plugging the netbook in all the time to recharge the battery,
this would be close to what I wish for. I've ordered this machine, and am
awaiting shipment. I've used an Asus EEE PC 904HA, and that netbook did not
have any problems running a demo of Window Eyes on it. I'm sure this new
netbook I ordered will not either.

Subject: Netbook Inquiry

Hi,

I am contemplating purchasing a netbook. I notice that some of them now
come with something referred to as Windows 7 starter. I'm not certain what
this means and am asking whether WindowEyes work well with this. Also has
anyone found a netbook that does not perform well with WindowEyes? Thanks
in advance for any assistance.
