I know this does not directly answer your question, but you can try Window Manager which is a script we wrote to help manage the sizes of windows. It works very well IMO.

Hi list,
I downloaded this program to hopefully help WE work with this look up
problem I am having.
I thought I knew how to work it but the windows I have thought I have
told it to always auto size are still opening small.
Does anyone have some instructions on how this program works? There is
no help in this program that I can find.
I found it through this list.
I had remembered that such a thing existed so I looked it up in the GW
archives but I can't seam to figure out how to work it.
Thanks Shannon
