Hello Bob. The status notifications for emails are graphics. If they are
not reading and if you have the sets installed, they will have to be
labeled manually. We have a KB article on this located in the link below.

notification of read and unread messages in Outlook Express.

first check in the set file manager and look for set files that are out of
date. i think o e and i e will be out of date and will need to be updated
first. then maybe the o e graphics will work. if not you have to re define
the graphics to the left of each message with the graphic dictionary. turn
on track mouse with focus in the mouse pull down. then the mouse will follow
the messages. then use the previous mouse clip to move the mouse to the
graphic. then press control shift e. if the mouse stays on the graphic the
graphic dictionary will open and you can give it a graphic for red and un
red attachment etc. make sure it is going to be saved to the msoe.gra file
not the graphic.gra. that dictionary is a general dictionary for all set
files.
