Yes, if you change to not compose in html, this will be fixed the way you want.

Hi!

I've been wondering about this for a while now. When I edit my messages
in Thunderbird after composing them, I have these huge long lines of
text to navigate through, does anyone know of a way I can shorten these?
By default, my messages from Thunderbird are composed in "HTML", if I
change to text will this make a difference? Can I perhaps do something
with the fonts?

Cheers!
