sickly what the remap caps lock script does is forces the caps lock key to act as an insert key.

Hi,
I was wondering what the remap capslock script will do for Window-Eyes?
I ask, because I although my laptop has an function key modifier where I can
force the letter keys to act as num-pad keys, it is rather annoying to go
through and do that. The fact is that JAWS and other screen readers whin
over on Window-Eyes, where it's laptop keyboard layout is concerned.
I would like to see GW-Micro or at least perhaps someone else if not a
direct coder like Doug or ron take a look at the laptop keyboard layout for
JAWS, and consider putting something into Window-Eyes where the user never
has to remove there fingers off there home ro, searching for an insert key,
etc.
I would think that it would be cool.
And no, I'm not about to go re-defining a million hotkeys to create this
thing. I could, but it would be rather annoying.
Have a wonderful day folks.

Regards, --Keith

what would be interesting is if someone took the homer layout script and the remap capslock script and combined them. that way, they can be used without
having to install 2 separate packages.

Hi Jamal

This is magic stuff. Many thanks. These utilities will be so handy and
interesting.

Is it not amazing how far beyond mere scripting for a screen reader this
scripts go?

Kind regards

Christo

In Web Client 2.0, enhanced the XtraWordInfo utility to give information
about the etymology of a word (thanks to Christo de Klerk for the web

symbols for unique access in the list):

@DomainLookup - Get authoritative information about the registrar of an
Internet domain name, e.g., AccessibleWorld.org. Note that some firewalls
block this utility because it uses a different port than standard HTTP
requests.

-TimeInternational - Enter a location (e.g., specified as city, country)
and get the current time there.

=UnitConversion - enter a source value, e.g., 10 miles, and a target
unit, e.g., kilometer, and get the converted result. This works for
currency units as well as physical measurements.
