well. just go to the keyboard menu and choose a different layout and hit enter. then choose yes and you'll get the please wait updating files messages then after a few minutes, you'll hear done but at the regular rate for eloquence and this is when i have the use specified speech parameters box checked as well as the speech parameters to current button and that was before changing the keyboard layout this even happens when using the homer layout script on script central. hope this helps.
