And I suppose you know for a fact that WE is crashing rather than something 
else in Windows.  I've also had similar behavior with an HP DV6-1247CL with 64 
bit Vista.  However, I'm not really able to determine where the problem lies.  
Sometimes speech will come back so WE has not crashed.  Since NVDA also won't 
start it seems that there's something with Windows itself going on.  These 
problems are not awways caused by adaptive software.  It is possible that WE is 
having problems but it may stop talking because of what's happening with 
Windows itself.
