I am using the windows maximizer script, so all my windows are automatically maximized. The backspacing problem, seems to be specially noticable, when backspacing more than one consequtive times, and rather quickly. I have been using a keyboard for 30 yhears, so my typing speed is pretty good, and don t know, if that messes up WE, but it only takes place in OE.

For me, in Excel, when initial characters in a cell are not being spoken, I've fixed the problem by exiting the program and returning. Usually the problem goes away and doesn't occur again in the session. That's less than a perfect fix, but it gets the work done. For Outlook Express (and Outlook, for that matter), GW tech support suggested maximizing the screen. This often does seem to help. Win XP, Office 2003, and WE7.11 running by now. I have mentioned this before, and GW told it to have been fixed, but it shows up to not be the case, at least on my system. The problems are in Microsoft Excel. 1. Scrolling to a cell, then starting to type some text into the cell, the text will show up in full, but the synth skips the first two characters. I.e, if I type Window-Eyes, the synth will read it as if I had typed 'ndow-eyes'. Scrolling to next cell, and then back to my first one, the synth reads all the entered text correctly. 2. Ever so often, when scrolling through the cells, the Braille display shows more than a cell at the same time. This is particularly the case, when several contiguious cells holds numbers. You would then see things like: 0.59 5534.2 84 95 103.223 3. When editing a formula, the Braille display is not updating. If my Formula reads a2:a57, and I want it to be edited, I go to the end (pressing end), then backspacing - say twice - and the screen would now read a2:a, but the Braille display still shows A2:A57. Typing 45, the screen would read A2:A45, but the Braille display keeps showing A2:A57. Why is this, and why has it not been fixed? :) A fourth problem, is in the Outlook Express editing box, for entering the text in the message. When backspacing after a typemismatch, rather often, the character spoken is NOT the character that is actually deleted, but rather the one to the left of the deleted one. I.e, you write Windowx, then press backspace to correct the X, and you hear W. Quite frustrating, and must be even so the more, for the ones not having a Braille line confirm their actual action. What about the 'write message' thing, that is spoken all the time, when a message gets too long? And the fact, that rather often, when arrowing up/down in your message, while writing it, you end up with the synth simply telling you Empty, and dinging on you. Will any of these issues be handled in the upcoming version? Thanks alot! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter.
