I appreciate hearing from other listers on this. I am using Real Player 12. On
a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a score of 8. For the most part, it is user
friendly. I have no problems opening it. The "My Library" listing list view is
a little funky. I have burned CDs from other versions of Real Player but not
version 12 yet. Yes, it does play videos, too. Real Networks brags about their
support of screen readers. I fought with them to change their "Sign-In" box on
the Rhapsody page, and they actually did it. The main beef with Real Networks I
have is with Rhapsody, especially, their Rhapsody client. Only after, I am
sure, many hours of work on scripts, is the client now accessible. Thank you
very much, vic Beckley. Also, previewing songs in Rhapsody is a pane. A problem
I thought I had solved and previously posted to the list as such has come back.
When previewing songs for purchase, after previewing several songs, my computer
slows down and eventually comes to a hault. If I catch it in time, closing and
restarting Real Player fixes this. If not, a reboot is required. I wilol have a
sighted person try this and see if they have the same problem when Window-Eyes
is not running. I do not think it is a Window-Eyes problem, but I had to
comment since Real Player was brought up again. I will say that their customer
service people do respond to my inquiries. Like many other cases, some
responses are successful and others not. They have worked well with resolving
purchasing issues, and the music store, I believe, is quite navigable, unlike
ITunes, which has chronic bouts of inaccessibility. Sorry for the long read.

Subject: Real Player
Hi,
I have downloaded the latest version of Real Player, however when I
open it, there is an html window and I have no speech.
I am looking for a player that will polay DVD movies as well as other
files.
The set files for Real Player talk about Real 1 Player and not the new
one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Pastor Gil
