You can turn smart tags off completely. The GW Micro knowledge base has a
good article for this: GWKB1061 - Disabling Smart Tags in Microsoft Word

Subject: word 2003 saying some strange stuff
Hey guys,
I am typing up a document, and windoweyes is saying some very strange
stuff.
It keeps saying smart tag actions an enter hyperlink field.
I have no clue what these mean, but i just want to get rid of them, and
they
don't seem to go away. Any ideas?
