As I recall, there are at least 3 separate places in Word you have to find to disable smart tags.
Have you tried going into the verbosity dialog, when you've got Word open, finding the miscellaneous item, and tabbing over til you find the checkbox for smarttags, and making sure that is not checked? if you find it checked, uncheck it, close this dialog, and save the word .set file. hth, Chip -----Original Message----- From: Jed Barton [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jed Barton Sent: Monday, March 15, 2010 1:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: word 2003 and smart tags Hey guys, Has anyone experience as much of a pain of this as i have with smart tags? It makes me not even wanna use word. I'm typing up a file, and hard to start it all over again. All the suggestins i've tried have not worked. Every time i arrow down a line with a stupid smart tag it says smart tag un do auto actions. Is there any way just to shut all of this stuff off completely?
