As for me and my experiences to date with the WE 7.2 beta 1,I will comment that running the WE 7.2 beta 1 on an XP SP 3 Media Center Office 2003 machine has yielded no consistent issues. Earlier today, a batch of various script updates came all at once and ended up crashing the machine with an External Command (or Control) Not Responding. Prior to that, and Since then, flawless performance has been the norm.
