That is exactly how I restored my version of we 7.11.
Started with the disk 7.0 added 7.1 and then 7.11.
That is how I got back to stable enough to try the beta again, this time
without any noticed problems.

Jeff,
Does your method backup the actual window-eyes program, not just the set
files and dictionaries? In other words, if the beta had a problem and one
needed to get back to 7.11, (which is the full version I have), would I be able
to uninstall the 7.2 beta 1, then plant the default directory in the same place
and have window-eyes 7.11 running again, just like before?
Alternatively, I have the 7.0 disk, and the 7.1 executable file, and the 7.11
executable file. Could I reinstall window-Eyes 7.11 by installing these
programs in order?
Thanks,
Steve

You need to back up your
Default
Folder
One way to get there is to go to the run dialog and type
"%appdata%"
Notice the quotes and percent signs.
Then arrow down to
Gw micro and press enter
Select window-eyes and press enter
Select users and press enter
And select default
Copy the whole default folder somewhere safe because this is where all of
your set files and scripts are stored.
Hope this helps,

I didn't hear any answer back on this question.
I thought I was doing the right thing and I tried to copy my entire WE
folder to a safe place and it didn't work.
I still don't know what the correct way is to save my settings and set
files.
I tried and installed the bata and had the button issue. That was not
tollerable so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall my 7.11 starting from the
7.0 disk then the 7.1 upgrade and the 7.11 . When I went to find the WE folder
I thought I had put in a safe place it was gone.
I hesitate to try reinstalling the bata for this reason.
How do I save my settings of WE that work for me?

Hello list,
I have spent allot of time and energy getting some set files to work.
I would like to use the new beta but I don't want to loose my stuff.
How do I make sure that my current files are available to restore to my
7.11 if 7.2 doesn't work for me?
I would like to be able to try the beta and if It doesn't work better to
revert back to what I know and love, exactly as if I never did anything.
Which files do I need to back up so I have it all? Do I coppy the entire WE
file from my hard drive?
Thanks a bunch for the info.
