Anyone tried the Samsung N510. Specifically, I note it has an 82-key
keyboard instead of the 83 keys on the models others have recommended on
this list. Without buying and trying, I thought I would at least check,
especially because the special function key arrangement is so important
for using the embedded keypad, etc.

It has a 250 GB hard disk and comes standard with 2GB of memory, so it's
attractive for both those reasons.

This is a key label dictionary issue. Since key labels don't know
anything about context it would need to be solved with a script.

While editing a message in outlook express, the home key takes
you to the start of the current line but says "top of list". The end
key says "end of line", which is correct.

In internet explorer 8, while filling out a line on a form, the
home key takes you to the start of the line, that is, it moves you to
the left side of the line, but the key label reads "beginning of page".
The end key takes you to the end of the line but reads "end of page".
Same behavior while in the ctrl-o open dialog when first typing in a url
in ie 8.

I'm using windows, sp3, and just now turned off all scripts,
ctrl-\, alt-f, m, enter arrow to off, enter. No change.

Perhaps some other hotkeys, or whatever they are called, are
mislabeled as well, don't know.

I know this can be fixed individually, user by user.

        Thanks,
