I'm jumping in here in the middle of the thread, but here's what I do..
I type in several letters of a name or address or whatever. Then I down-arrow to select the address I want. When I find it, I just tab over to the subject area and continue with the message. No need to press enter or anything else once you've arrowed to the address you're looking for.
We does not speak any autocomplete automatically, but the arrow keys method I just described does talk and works quite well. You'd only press enter on the selected address if you wanted to select an additional one.
